Commenting on the opening of the summit, Mr Raj Manek, Executive Director and Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd, said: " We are pleased to open the 10th edition of the LNG India Summit today. Over the years, the summit has followed the growth of the sector, from the early build-out of terminals and pipelines to today's focus on supply security, long-term contracts and decarbonisation. The conversation is shifting from how much gas India needs to how reliably, affordably and sustainably it can be sourced and delivered. The programme over the next two days reflects that shift, with government, industry and technology perspectives on the same table. We thank our partners, speakers and delegates for their support and we believe the discussions will help the industry plan for the next decade with greater clarity."
Similarly, the chief guest of the conference, Mr B. K. Chaturvedi, IAS, Former Cabinet Secretary, Government of India & Former Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, quoted: “There is a huge interest in LNG imports, LNG distribution and the network. People are very gung-ho about it, and I find it extremely exciting that the clean energy enthusiasm is very much there. And that is the goal, not only of this conference, but at a global level, when we are talking about 1.5 degrees below the pre-industrial society level, I find it extremely exciting.”
Across the two days, the summit will explore India’s evolving gas strategy, with discussions spanning energy security, LNG supply diversification, infrastructure and last-mile connectivity, and the expansion of the country’s gas distribution network. The agenda will also examine the changing global LNG landscape, its growing applications in heavy mobility and industry, and pathways to decarbonise LNG infrastructure, while assessing the role of natural gas in supporting India’s energy ambitions towards Viksit Bharat 2047. The summit will close with a valedictory session on the adoption of the "LNG India 2030 Resilience Agenda," the knowledge partner's key recommendations and the announcement of the next edition.
The 10th edition also highlights the summit's contribution to the development of India's LNG ecosystem. A five-minute anniversary film, tracing the growth of the global and Indian LNG markets and the summit's evolution over the past decade, was screened at the inauguration. The event also saw the release of the report "India's LNG Journey: A Decade of Transformation and Next Decade of Opportunity", prepared with knowledge partner Crisil Intelligence by S&P Global. It examines the sector's development over the last ten years and the opportunities that could shape its future.
Alongside the conference, eight exhibitors are showcasing their technologies on the event floor: Compac Industries, Cryogenic Equipments, ExxonMobil, Huzhou Brightway Woodfield Systems, Klinger Industrial Products, Magwen Valves, Spark Industries and TGT Fuel Technologies and The LNG India Awards, marking the 10th-year milestone, recognised contributions and achievements across the LNG and natural gas industry.
