An important event in the security industry calendar, Secutech India aims to spotlight the latest security technologies, trends and innovations as well as the post-pandemic response of the industry that are shaping product developments in India’s physical security, cyber security, fire & safety, smart home & automation markets. However, with less than two months from the scheduled event, the multitude of developments and global uncertainty has posed a challenging business environment for security industry players. After consultations with key industry stakeholders, organisers Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India Pvt Ltd and Asian Business Exhibitions and Conferences Ltd have announced that Secutech India will be pushed to a later date in the FY 2022-23, as a pre-emptive measure.
A joint statement by the organisers stated: “Secutech India has been the most important meeting place and innovation hub for the security sector, with the entire industry converging on this platform every year. There is a high level of commitment demonstrated by the sector towards this important business event. Therefore, staging the show with a compact spectrum of showcases would not do complete justice to the trade fair as well as participant and visitor expectations. As organisers, we had to take this tough call which is in alignment with the interests of the sectors involved.”
Currently in discussion with the venue operators, organisers confirm that information on the new dates and planning of Secutech India trade fair for 2023 will be announced in the coming days. The renowned Global Digital Security Forum (GDSF) will also move to the new dates, alongside the trade fair.
